Madelyn Pittman December 03, 1947 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERBURY Madelyn Pittman “Loving mother, sister, grandmother & great-grandmother” Ms. Madelyn (Bussey) Pittman, 71, of Waterbury, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. Madelyn was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 3, 1947, daughter of the late Willie Lee and Louise (Bell) Bussey. She was educated in the Waterbury school system.

She was employed for Uniroyal in Naugatuck, and went on to receive her CNA Degree and worked at the Bucks Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until her retirement in 2009. Madelyn leaves to mourn, her sons, Bert Pittman, Jr. (Gayle) and Byron Lee Pittman (Michelle) all of Waterbury, a sister, Marilyn B. Watson of Hartford, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was predeceased by her brother, Muhammed Rasheed.

Arrangements: Family and friends may call on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl Street, Waterbury, CT 06704. Madelyn’s Celebration of Life Service will follow the calling hours at the Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
