Danute “Donna” Uogintas August 04, 1925 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book Waterbury, CT Danute “Donna” Uogintas “Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother” Mrs. Danute “Donna” (Petruskevicius) Uogintas, 93, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of Heaven on Friday January 11, 2019 at the Connecticut Baptist Homes in Meriden. She was the widow of Algimantas “Al” Uogintas. Donna was born in Lithuania on August 4, 1925 a daughter of the late Vincas and Veronika (Butenaite) Petruskevicius.

She worked at Uniroyal Rubber for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Waterbury and sang in the church choir. She was a former member of the Lithuanian Club.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Nijole Janik and her husband, Joseph of Southington, two grandchildren, Christopher Janik and his wife, Suzanne, Jennifer Barrett-Janik and her wife, Ramona, one great grandchild, Shiloh Barrett-Janik and three nieces, Vijoleta Silks, Zaidre Petruskevicius and Ina Grove. She was predeceased by a daughter, Aldona Uogintas, a brother, Vytautas Petruskevicius and a sister, Genavaite Kazlauskas. Arrangements: Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Lithuanian Cemetery in Waterbury.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
