Janice M. Mancini May 02, 1950 – January 12, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERTOWN JANICE M. Mancini “Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister” Janice M. (Cyr) Mancini, 69, of Watertown passed away unexpectedly Saturday January 12, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Carl R. Mancini. Janice was born May 2, 1950 in Fort Kent, Maine, a daughter of the late Percy and Lillian (Dube) Cyr.

She was a graduate of Crosby High School Class of 1968. Janice was employed in the cash management department at the Bank of America main office in Hartford where she worked for over 43 years retiring in 2015. Janice loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved and adored and vacationing with her family especially Cape Cod.

She enjoyed shopping, reading, entertaining and going to the Palace Theater. Janice enjoyed playing mahjong and would meet every Monday with the same group of girls to play. She was a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church.

Besides her loving husband of 46 years, she leaves a daughter, Melissa R. Torrance and her husband John “J.T.” of Waterbury, a son, Carl M. Mancini and his wife Chrissy of Wolcott, her siblings Elaine McCann and her husband James of Topsfield MA, Alan Cyr and his wife Maryann of Southington, Charles “Chucky” Cyr and his wife Colleen of Shelton, Steven Cyr of Waterbury, and Donna Rinaldi and her husband John of Wolcott, three grandchildren, Milo Torrance, Lillian Torrance, Carly Mancini and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Amalia Mancini of Watertown, a sister-in-law, Annamaria Fenwick and her husband David of Watertown and a brother-in-law, Michael Mancini and his wife Anne of Norfolk, VA,. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Wiggins and Patricia’s husband Adam Wiggins.

Arrangements: Funeral Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Saint John the Evangelist Church in Watertown to celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Calling hours Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
