Igino Ricciardi August 03, 1927 – January 18, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Waterbury, CT Igino Ricciardi “Loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather & Brother” Igino Ricciardi, 91, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved widow of Giuseppina (Cofrancesco) Ricciardi. Igino was born in San Lorenzello, Benevento, Italy on August 3, 1927, son of the late Nicola and Emanuela (Giannotti) Ricciardi.

He came to Waterbury in 1961 and worked in construction. Later he worked as a tool setter for Duracell Batteries for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, making and drinking wine and playing bocce.

Igino leaves one daughter, Addolorata “Dolores” Sanzari and her husband, Lorenzo of Watertown, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Luigi “Peppe” Ricciardi of Waterbury, Livio Ricciardi of Italy, two sisters, Consiglia Gionnotti of Italy, Carmela Rubano of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Emanuela Pucino and brothers, Vincenzo, Claudio, Carmine and Ulderico.

Igino’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Waterbury Hospital ICU. Arrangements: His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
