Aristile “Bob” Lilly October 29, 1932 – January 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro for Aristile “Mr. Bob” Lilly, age 86, who passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Carpenter House in Lafayette. Interment will be in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery in Carencro. Msgr.

Ronald Broussard, pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Bob was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro.

He was active in the church, having served as an altar server and was a member of the Sacred Heart League and the Holy Name Society. He coached the Carencro T-Tigers baseball team for many years. He was a generous person who loved people and especially loved helping children.

His motto was “You can make it if you try”. Survivors include one brother, Gerald Lilly of Lafayette, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand Lilly and the former Ernestine Thomas; six brothers, Steven Lilly, Edward Lilly, Western Lilly, Shelby Lilly, Albert Lilly and Isaac Thomas; and one sister, Estelle Cyprien.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave.
