Albarado June 09, 1932 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Gladys B. Albarado, age 86, the former Gladys Bourque, who passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Evangeline Oaks Guest House in Carencro. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott.

Deacon Barney Lejeune will officiate at the services. Mrs. Albarado was a native of Duson and a resident of Scott where she was a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She was employed with Trappey’s Cannery for twenty years. Mrs. Albarado loved to play bingo and spend time at Metro Bingo with her friends. Survivors include two sons, Shane Albarado of Breaux Bridge and Paul Bower and his wife, Jane, of Bayou Vista; three daughters, Judy Benoit and her husband, Emery, of Scott, Peggy Butler and her husband, Henry, of Breaux Bridge and Mona Soileau and her husband, Larry, of Whitley City, VA; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Wilson Bourque; and two sisters, Edith Arnold and Ruby Veronie.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Bower; her second husband, Anthony Albarado, Jr.; her parents, Martial Bourque and the former Nita Romero; one grandson, Jamie Benoit; and seven sibilings. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave.
