Virginia M. Henry March 01, 1951 – January 19, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Mrs. Charles Lee Henry, age 67, the former Virginia McCoy, who passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her residence in Carencro. Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Mrs. Henry was a native of Rayne, was a former resident of Port Arthur, TX for over forty-four years having resided in Carencro for the last three years.

She was employed as a Teacher’s Aide at Port Arthur Independent School District for ten years. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Henry was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and was a former parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Arthur, TX where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her husband of forty seven years, Charles Lee Henry of Carencro; one son, Roderick James Henry, Sr. of Beaumont, TX; four grandchildren, Iesha Alfred of Lafayette, Roderick James Henry, Jr. of Carencro, Alishia Henry of Carencro, Marcus Scott of Houston, TX and Christopher Henry of Port Arthur, TX; three great grandchildren; her father, Arthur McCoy of Carencro; one Goddaughter, Desireh McCoy; five brothers, Johnny McCoy and his wife, Tephanie, of Lafayette, Martin McCoy and his wife, Paulette, of Jennings, Moses McCoy and his wife, Latoya, of Port Naches, TX, Gabriel McCoy of Lafayette, Arthur McCoy, Jr. and his wife, Renee, of Breaux Bridge, and David McCoy of Carencro; and four sisters, Sandra Comeaux and her husband, Dwayne, of Lafayette, Mary Woods and her husband, William, of Lafayette, Tammy McCoy of Carencro and Amy Marshall and her husband, Jamie, of Carencro. She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Lee Henry; her mother, the former Virginia Hebert; one brother, Tony McCoy; and one sister, Diane Bruno. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
