Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Pastor Jeff Ables, Pastor David Baudoin and Pastor Stuart Sherrill of Crossroads Church, will officiate at the services.

Kirk was a native of Lafayette, a longtime resident of Carencro and had been a resident of Texas since 2006. Kirk loved his family, his mules and most of all, God. He worked in the Oil and Gas industry in Communications for over forty years, where he played an instrumental role in several Oilfield Christian Fellowship clubs.

Kirk loved to cook great Cajun dishes, which blessed his family and innumerable friends on many occasions. He was quick to tell you about the superiority of mules versus horses and loved to go on trail rides and find the steepest cliffs to climb. Kirk loved his family and was quick with a smile and hug.

He was a protector and always rallied when someone was in distress. He had the gift of fixing anything and everything and frequently claimed he could “fix everything but a broken heart”. Kirk will be missed but never forgotten.

He was loud, boisterous and truly one of a kind. Most of all, Kirk loved to share his love of Jesus. He prayed the sinner’s prayer with more people than we know.

He would say that sharing Jesus just “cranked his tractor”, and it really did. Survivors include his parents, Clayon “Jay” Boudreaux and the former Norma Louise Thibodeaux of Carencro; his loving wife, Trudy Calhoun Boudreaux of Houston, TX; two sons, Shawn Michael Boudreaux of Lafayette, Christopher Ryan Boudreaux and wife, Meghann, of Lubbock, TX; two daughters, Nicole Boudreaux Trahan and husband, Koby, of Lafayette, Kirsten Rachael Boudreaux of College Station, TX; three grandchildren, Evan Trahan, Tagg Trahan, Stacie Lynn Trahan; two brothers, Herb Boudreaux and wife, Carla, Steve Boudreaux and wife, Angela; five sisters, Lona Varnado and husband, Dave, Cindy Matte and husband, Oscar, June Guilbeau and husband, Marco, Janet Landry and husband, Robert, and Sherri Sherrill and husband, Stuart. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Stacie Lynn Boudreaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Crossroads Church in Lafayette.
