Cherri Lynn Bitner, age 51, of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. She was born in Elwood on July 30, 1966, to the late Robert and Mazie (Phifer) Foor. Cherri was a 1984 graduate of Elwood Community High School.

She was formerly a Certified Nurses Aide in home health care for many years. On January 13, 2000 she married Terry Bitner and they shared over 18 years of marriage. Cherri formerly enjoyed crocheting and cooking meals for her family.

She was devoted to her family and would help them in any way she could. She enjoyed playing computer games and face timing with family and friends. She loved to care for children and more than anything she loved caring for her nieces and nephews.

Cherri will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her many friends and family members. Cherri is survived by her loving husband, of 18 years, Terry Bitner; sister, Patricia Hudson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert G. Foor; mother, Mazie Lou Foor; maternal and paternal grandparents; and two uncles.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm on July 7, 2018 at 9442 West 700 South Swayzee, IN 46986. (This is the Foor Family Reunion date) Memorial contributions may be made to Dunnichay Funeral Home to help offset final expenses. Online condolences can be given at www.
