Connie Rose McAninch, 66 of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Vandergrift, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 in AHN-Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born July 20, 1952 in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of Donald Leroy Sr. and Carolyn Ruth (Woods) Johns of Apollo. Connie lived in the Vandergrift Dime Road area most of her life, except for the last two years she spent in Florida.

She was a graduate of Kiski Area High School. She was employed as a traveling Licensed… Read More » Practical Nurse. Connie enjoyed crocheting, painting, shopping, gardening and playing Jacks with her sister.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her; four daughters; Jeanne (Kevin) Rummel and Jennifer(Curt) Woods, both of Apollo, Janet McAninch of Leesburg, FL and Jamie (Mark) Geltz of Vandergrift , Donna (William) Peters of Vandergrift, Sister Patty (Vern) Sciullo of Vandergrift; Sister Mary Salladae of West Lebanon; Brothers Buch (Nancy) Johns of Tarentum; Brother Todd Johns of Monongahela; as well as many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. At the family’s request there will be no viewing or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo PA 15613.
