Juanita Marie Hall May 04, 1956 – March 21, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Juanita Marie Hall, age 62, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully at UVA hospital on March 21, 2019 with her fiance, Arley “Woody” Gregory, of 20+ years by her side. Born in Albemarle County on May 4, 1956, Juanita was the only daughter out of seven children by her late parents, Charles James Hall, Sr. & Maggie Marie Thomas Hall. After receiving her GED & moving on to cosmetology courses, Ms. Hall became known as a “Jill of all trades”.

Whether it was selling cars or private sitting, working at Comdial or even driving a tow truck, Juanita could do it all. At the age of 25, she received an honorable discharge from the United States Army and continued her knack of trades after returning home. She enjoyed hosting get-togethers; cooking for her family and sharing secret family recipes with her daughter and grandchildren.

She was well known for offering people a chair; a glass of sweet tea and a listening ear. Juanita was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as best friend to her fiance. As the foundation of her family, Juanita’s memory will always be cherished & respectfully remembered.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Hall, Jr., Roger Hall , Melvin Hall and Thomas Hall. She is survived by her only daughter, Angela Taylor Marsh; four grandchildren, Brittainy Davis, Jeremy Tillman, Joshua Marsh and Savannah Marsh; as well as two great grandchildren, Alanna and Connor Ingalls, and three step great grandchildren, David, Jr., Caleb, and Lillian Ingalls; two brothers, William (Billy) Hall, Sr. and his wife, Elaine and David Hall, a sister-in-law, Diane Hall; countless nieces & nephews, and her beloved fiance’s four children, Wayne, Mike, Chris, and Debbie. The family welcomes friends to Hill & Wood Funeral Home, Charlottesville from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

A celebration of life will follow within the next few weeks after her wishes to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations put towards Juanita’s service. The family would also like to thank UVA hospital, staff and Cancer Center.
