Obituary for Kevin Johnson Kevin J. Johnson, age 50, of Janesville died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2018 at his home from an apparent heart attack. He was born in Spooner, WI on March 11, 1968, the son of Carol R. Vine. Kevin moved to Janesville in 1978 and graduated in 1986 from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan.

Shortly after high school, Kevin went to work at GMAD in Janesville and retired in 2008. He married Michelle Wilson in 1992 and later divorced. Even though Kevin was deaf, he was able to communicate with anyone with his great sense of humor and gentle and good-natured personality.

He was very soft spoken and never held a grudge. Kevin enjoyed going out to eat, always looking for the best deals at the restaurants, boating, dancing, euchre, and playing jokes on his family and friends. He was also a very avid sports fan, who was a huge fan of the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and the Bucks.

His smile, compassion and love for his family will be missed by those close to him. He is survived by his children: Austin Johnson, Andrew Wilson and his son, Sawyer, and Ryan (Becky) Wilson; mother and father: Carol and William Vine, Jr.; his sister: Brenda (Steve) Hartman; nephew and niece: Jakob and Hannah Hartman; and great niece: Delilah Martin; several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents.

Private services were held.
