Obituary of Letha Abbey Letha D. Abbey, 88, formerly of 106 Fredrick Blvd WE, passed away Friday July 27, 2018 in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Robert J. Abbey whom she married December 8, 1945 and who died June 22, 1993. Letha was born September 18, 1929 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Amil and Mame Mowery Schauers, and attended Celoron schools.

She had been employed in the Cafeteria at Celoron Elementary School for many years, and later at the former Jones Bakery and Phil & Cindy’s Restaurant. Letha was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Johnson of Frewsburg and Cynthia Ahlgren of Conewango Valley; four grandchildren: Brent Ahlgren of Jamestown, Tiffany Ahlgren of Lakewood, Mark Johnson of Wilmington, NC, and Paul Johnson of Lorton, VA; three great grandchildren: Tyler Kushel and Emily Kushel both of Lakewood; Emma Johnson of CA; a brother, John Schauers of Lakewood; and her very close friend, Don McCray.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and James Schauers; and her step mother, Ethel Koresko. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
