Obituary of Paul Ross Paul R. Ross, 85, of Howard Ave Jamestown, passed away Thursday July 26, 2018 in Elderwood of Hornell following a brief illness. He was born July 10, 1933 in Philipsburg, PA the son of the late Paul A. and Mildred Mostyn Ross. Paul was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at Marlin Rockwell Corp. / SKF for many years. He was a member of the Herman Kent Post #777 American Legion in Celoron; Henry Mosher Post #638 American Legion in Falconer; War Vets Rec.

; Lakewood Rod and Gun Club; Falconer Rod and Gun Club; and the Eagles. Paul was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and trout fishing. He also enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR, and visiting with his neighbors.

Surviving are three sons: Randall (Helena) Ross, and Cary Ross both of Jamestown; Kevin (Dawn) Ross of Meadville, PA; a daughter: Tanya (Chris) Ross of Hornell, NY; four grandchildren: Brittany Ross of Largo, FL; Randy (Kate) Ross of Webster, NY; Benjamin Ross (Dawna) of Virginia; Parker Wilson-Ross of Hornell; one great grandson: Chase Paul Ross of Webster; and two great grandchildren on the way, due later this year. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Wolfe Ross whom he married April 8, 1961 and who died March 2, 2003. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday August 3 in the Lind Funeral Home.

The Rev. Rick Miller, pastor of Zion Covenant Church will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday (2 hours prior to the service) in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veteran’s group of your choice.
