Renelda Anne Thomas, 84, originally from Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD. Born December 21, 1933, in Friendsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Emerson and Anna Janet (Klima) Thomas, Sr She was also preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Anna Lynne Frazee; one granddaughter, Karen Dawn Anderson; one brother, William Emerson Thomas, Jr. and one sister, Betty Jean Pook.

She was a homemaker, a teacher, an author and an artist. Renelda enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She won the title of Ms. Senior Pennsylvania in 2002.

If anyone asked her what she was most proud of in her life, she would always tell them it was her children. She is survived by her five remaining children, Brenda Jeanne Bryner, Smithfield, PA; Nancy Lee Otto, Ashburn, VA; William Craig Frazee, Yorktown, VA; Lori Anne Frazee, Frederick, MD and Lois Adele Stasulis, Vienna, VA; her sons-in-law include, Dennis Bryner, John Otto and Denis Stasulis and her daughter-in-law is Lynne Frazee; 13 grandchildren, Eric Anderson; Ken, Neil, Lisa, Zachary, Krista and Marissa Bryner; Jennifer, Kristen and Laura Frazee; Andrea and Ryan Stasulis; and Kayla Ketchum; she leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren, Payton, Jordyn, Ava and Declan Bryner; Chloe Walters; Carlee Smith and the newest addition to the family, Isaiah Bryner; one nephew, Bennie Pook and wife, Donna. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave.

, Friendsville, on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Sand Spring Church of God on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dana Umbel officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Sand Spring Cemetery.
