James Ronald “Jim” King, 86, of Springs, PA, beloved husband of Marilyn (Cramer) King, his wife of 65 years, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 21, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. Born March 23, 1932, in Springs, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel Harrison and Mary Mae (Hollada) King. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen K. Boslow, Anna Bertha Beachy and Ferne L. Folk.

Mr. King was a PFC in the U.S. Army prior to taking over his families sawmill. He was later employed by Keystone Lime Co., where he retired after 44 years of service. Jim had a passion for trucking.

So after retirement he and his beloved wife, Marilyn, took on the open road with Black Sheep Trucking. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fort Hill, PA and an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim’s greatest joys in life were his family, blessed with his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann (Glen) Champlin, Grantsville, MD; one son, James Douglas (Kelly) King, Grantsville; one granddaughter, Heather Ann (Russell) Christner; two grandsons, Justin Glen (Misty) Champlin and Asa James King; three great-grandchildren, Rusty Christner, Bailey and London Champlin. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Foster officiating.

Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Heartland Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave. , Somerset, PA 15501 or to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, c/o St. John’s, P.O. Box 103, Addison, PA 15411.
