Obituary for Ronald Sherman Easter Ronald Sherman Easter, 76, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at his home. He was born January 24, 1942 in Carroll County to the late Sherman and Sarah Crowder Easter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, J. R. Easter and Michael David Easter, and a brother, Wayne Easter.

Mr. Easter proudly served in the United States Army; and was a metal worker/Maintenance at Bassett Furniture Industries for his entire career. He was a UNC Tarheels fan and enjoyed all sports and western movies. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Turner Easter; daughters, Norma Joyce Easter, Tammy Trent and Bobbi Jo Turner; son, Richard Gauldin; sisters, Phyllis Grayson, Gail Dean and Mary Jordan; brothers, Douglas Easter and Mike Easter; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Lewis Harris officiating. Visitation will be one-half hour before the service. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
