Bryce M. West, 77, of Clay City, Indiana passed away at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, on April 8, 2018 following a battle with cancer. Bryce was born on February 20, 1941, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Max and Thelma (Connor) West. He graduated from Wiley High School with the class of 1958.

Following high school he attended Purdue University and Indiana State University. Bryce worked for Reuben H. Bryce owned and operated Information Systems Consultants as a Systems Analyst until retiring in 2003.

Bryce was an outdoorsman who enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and hunting. He was also an avid photographer and had published several of his photos. Bryce had served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years from 1965 and was honorably discharged 1971.

He married Robbie Jeanette Daniel in 1967 in the Taylor Memorial Prayer Chapel in Farmersburg. They celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. Bryce was preceded in death by his parents Max and Thelma West, a brother Max West Jr., and a brother-in-law Owen Daniel Jr..

He is survived by his wife Jeanette West of Clay City; sisters-in-law Annette Garrison of Florida and Linda West of Terre Haute; 3 nieces and 7 nephews. Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East Eighth Street, Clay City, Indiana 47841, on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 11am until 1:00pm. Services will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, at 1:00pm.
