Denver Dean Beitzel, 76, of Accident, MD, died Monday, April 23, 2018, in Swanton, MD. Born February 6, 1942, in Bittinger, MD, he was the son of the late Lawrence Jonas and Thelma (Yoder) Beitzel. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Olen Beitzel.

Denver was a lifelong member of Cherry Glade Mennonite Church. He was an avid outdoorsman involved in numerous hunting clubs both locally and nationally. He owned and operated his own small business for over 30 years.

Denver was dedicated to his family and cherished his many friends. He is survived by his wife, Naomi (Maust) Beitzel; two sons, Gary (Dawn) Beitzel, McHenry, MD; Terry (Sylvia Whitney) Beitzel, Harrisonburg, VA; two sisters, Anna Marie Maust, Accident; Delores Sue Stephens, Grantsville, MD; five grandchildren, Max (Nina) Beitzel; Terah (Eric) Beitzel Crawford, Markell (Jason) Fickes; Jade (Ken) Frushour and Myra Beitzel; eight great-grandchildren, Jadyen, Bryce, Kennedy, Syrus, Asher, Isla, Allie and Sawyer. Friends will be received at the Cherry Glade Mennonite Church, 4051 Accident Bittinger Rd.

, Accident, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the church on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Maust and Max Beitzel officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Cherry Glade Cemetery.
