ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA – Harmon Luther Kilgore, 92, died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home. He was born in St. Paul, Virginia; son of the late Wiley Frank and Elsie Lee Phillips Kilgore.

He was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Kenneth Kilgore; four sisters, Bonnie, Lora, Mary Ann, and Velma; two brothers, Arthur and Eddie. He was a retired coal miner with over forty-years and a member of the U.M.W.A.

He was member of Phillips Chapel Church. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Kilgore; three daughters, Connie Austin and husband, R. L. of St. Paul, Virginia, Sue Bunch and husband, J. J. of Wise, Virginia, and Cindy Jones and husband, Chris of Richmond, Virginia; five sons, Harmon Douglas Kilgore and wife, Tammy of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Luther Neal Kilgore and wife, Karen of Abingdon, Virginia, Edward Grant Kilgore and wife, Sharon of St. Paul, Virginia, Thomas Avery Kilgore and wife, Arlene of Clintwood, Virginia, and John Preston Minton and wife, Michele of Pounding Mill, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Harmon Luther Kilgore will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Randy Noonchester and Rev. Harmon Douglas Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.

Graveside Rites will be conducted by the U.M.W.A. Sub District 28 Chaplain Corp. Pallbearers will be Family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. On line condolences may be sent to the Kilgore family through our website and a video tribute may be viewed at www. castlewoodfuneralhome.com.
