Loretta Jean Capasso April 03, 1934 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Loretta Jean Capasso (nee: Price), 84 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a lengthly illness. She was born April 3, 1934 in Lorain, Ohio. Loretta was lifetime resident of Amherst, graduating from Central High School with the class of 1953.

Her primary focus in life was that of a homemaker. Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. As a young women she worked in the advertising department at the Lorain Morning Journal.

Loretta loved reading and was an avid college basketball fan and enjoyed collecting dolls. Survivors include her son Thomas S. Capasso of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years,Thomas Peter Capasso on July 23, 2010; her son Mark A. Capasso in 1991; her brother Steven Price, Jr., in 1995; and her parents Steve, Sr. and Laura Price (nee: Soroka).

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church; 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Fr.

Timothy O’Connor, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Amherst Public Library; 221 Spring Street, Amherst, OH 44001.
