Marion D Anderson , June 25, 1935 — February 12, 2019

We sadly announce the passing of Marion Anderson, most recently a resident of Loudon, TN, on February 12, 2019. Marion was born in Clydebank Scotland on June 25, 1935 and resided with her parents Duncan and Joan Bowman during her formative years, becoming a teacher in the Scottish school system. She immigrated to the United States in the mid 1950’s to join her future husband, David, who had immigrated earlier.

Marion and David lived the majority of their years in New Jersey, raising a family of 3 children – Paul, Joan and David before relocating to Taiwan for several years and ultimately retiring in South Carolina and Tennessee. Marion and David both loved to travel, visiting many places throughout the world on ships, planes and automobiles. Much of her career she worked as the office manager for Scotchwood Pharmacy in New Jersey, helping run and grow the business.

Marion is survived by her children; her granddaughter Jill and many friends in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents; brother, Allan and sister, May. There will be a Memorial Reception on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Tanasi Clubhouse at Tellico Village.
