CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Melody Burk, 81, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at Grace Healthcare, Abingdon, Virginia. She was born in Warrier Mine, West Virginia; daughter of the late Earl, Sr. and Myrtle Fritz Deal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Burk; and one daughter, Jean Popp.

She was a member of Clinch Valley Chapter of O.E.S. #152, St. Paul, Virginia and a member of Fort Gibson United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Harmon of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, June Henderson and husband, Doug of Wytheville, Virginia; one half brother, Earl Deal, Jr. and wife, Becky of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; three grandchildren, Erica Ramey and wife, Labrisca, Ryan Dockery and husband, Jackie, and Apiffany Wilson and fiancé, Joshua Pryor; three great grandchildren, Gheffin Bellamy, Isaiah Dockery, and Jaxon Dockery; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Melody Burk will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Harry Layell officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
