Patricia “Pat”‘s Obituary Patricia E. Schumann, 81, Minot, ND, formerly of Glenburn, ND, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at a Minot hospital. Pat was born May 12, 1937, the daughter of William and Margaret (Imsdahl) Sandberg, in Fertile, MN. Pat was raised and educated in Fertile.

Pat married Merlin F. Schumann on February 20, 1954 in Fertile, MN. They made their home in many small towns across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana, later settling in Minot, ND in 1962. In September of 1974, they moved to Glenburn, ND, where they eventually retired.

Merlin passed away March, 24, 1991. Pat was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn. Pat enjoyed many years of decorating wedding and birthday cakes as well as volunteering at the Glenburn Food Pantry, Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn School, and Glenburn Senior Citizens Center.

Surviving family includes; Children include Richard (Michelle) Schumann, Glenburn, ND, Debra (Bob) Christensen, Olympia, WA, Denise (Byron) Norsby, Glenburn, ND, Roger (Calisha) Schumann, Minot, ND. Grandchildren include Paul (Roxann) Schumann, Adam Schumann, Dawn (Bobbie Joe) Theis, Kyla Heinle, Halle Schumann, Payton Schumann, Megan Christensen, Ryan Christensen, and Luke Christensen. Great-grandchildren include Nick Schumann, Zoe Schumann, Abby Schumann, Jaxson Schumann, Conway Kizima.

Sisters Karen Johnson and Joyce Downs and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Sandberg, husband Merlin, sister Mona Erickson, brothers-in-law Dan Downs, Howard Erickson, and grandson Wyatt Heinle. Funeral: Friday, January 11, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn .

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.
