Muriel’s Obituary Muriel Christopherson, 99, Minot, formerly of Wildrose, ND, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Minot Health and Rehab. Muriel Irene Ellingson was born May 9, 1919, the daughter of John and Gina (Evenson) Ellingson, in Wildrose, ND. She was raised and educated in Wildrose and graduated from Wildrose High School in 1937.

Muriel married Clifford Christopherson November 27, 1943, in Williston, ND. They made their home on farm located in Hazel Township, Williams County, south of Wildrose, where they farmed small grains and raised livestock. Clifford passed away August 12, 1995.

Following her husband’s death, she continued to reside on the farm until December of 2008, when she moved into Brentmoor Assisted Living in Minot. In November of 2018, she became a resident of Minot Health and Rehab. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wildrose, where she taught Sunday school and belonged to the Women of Grace.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking buns and donuts, and reading. Her loving family includes: children, Cathi Christopherson (Al Brown), Bismarck, ND, Mary Ann Engebretson, Minot, and Curtis (Peggy) Christopherson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Brent (Lorinda) Engebretson, Andrea (Cory) Rolstad, Daniel Engebretson (Mary Smith), Brian (Sarah) Christopherson, Brad Christopherson, Sara (Gabe) Whitney; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brady, Blake, Ava, Isaac, Jaxon, Addison, Cullen, Walter, and Christina; special cousin, Howard (Ardith) Holten, Bottineau; sister-in-law, LaDonna Christopherson, Bismarck, ND; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; son-in-law, Gary Engebretson; a brother, Edner (Sylvia) Ellingson; and sister, Gladyce (Ole) Sevre.

Funeral: Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Wildrose, ND. Interment: Bethel Cemetery, rural Wildrose, ND. Visitation: Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Public Prayer Service: Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorials: are preferred to the Anne Carlson Center or Grace Lutheran Church.
