Rita’s Obituary Rita Jo Beyer, 49, died Wednesday January 2nd, 2019, at Trinity Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. Rita Jo was born on September 30, 1969, in Garrison, ND, the daughter of James and Marilyn (Petz) Beyer. She was raised in Minot and graduated in the Bishop Ryan class of 1988.

On September 18, 1996, she was blessed with her dolly, Danielle Jo. Rita was once married to Dan Titel. On May 8th, 2015, she became a grandma to her little man, Layton James.

Rita will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, smile and jokes. Rita made everyone she met her friend – everyone loved Rita Beyer. Rita was always the life of the party whether it was out on the town dancing or while working at Dairy Queen, Target, Marvin Windows, or ING.

She lit up a room with her huge personality. Rita’s family would like to thank the staff at the Trinity ICU and the 4th floor nursing staff for taking such good care of her during this past week. Survivors: daughter, Danielle, Minot, ND; grandson, Layton, Minot, ND; brother, Brad (Sue) Beyer, Mesa, AZ, sisters, Brenda (Bill) Dunn, Surrey, ND, and Rhonda (Jason) Kniffen, Minot, ND; nephew, Trysten Jensen, Minot, ND; nieces, Baylie Jensen, Minot, ND, Bri (Ryan Mullikin) Beyer, Kaitlyn Beyer, Makenna Beyer, all Mesa, AZ; great nephew, Jaxson Mullikin, Mesa, AZ; uncles, Bob Petz, Garrison, ND, Stan Petz, Bismarck, ND, Dan (Carolyn) Beyer, Simi Valley, CA and way too many cousins and friends to list.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Marilyn, infant brother, Matthew, grandparents, Ben and Clarinda Beyer, Joe and Irene Petz; aunt, Betty Klabunde; and uncle, Tom Beyer. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to the Layton Titel Trust Fund account set up at First Western Bank & Trust, Minot, ND. Family & Friend Gathering: Saturday, January 5th, 2019, from 5-7 pm at the Downtown Minot Event Center (old Chicago Club); 110 1st St SE, Minot, ND.

Celebration of Rita’s Life with music & dancing will follow afterwards for all family and friends from 7-11pm. The family requests your presence to stop by and share your favorite Rita stories, jokes & memories. Rita requested that everyone wear something red as this was her favorite color.

Our lives will never be the same without Rita and our memories will live on forever in our hearts.
